  1、 Production remains stable. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the industrial added value of the non-ferrous metal industry in 2022 increased by 5.2% year-on-year, 1.6 percentage points higher than the industrial average level. The production of ten types of non-ferrous metals reached 67.74 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%. Among them, the refined copper production reached 11.06 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%; The production of raw aluminum reached 40.21 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%.

  2、 The prices of bulk products fluctuate in a range, with lithium carbonate prices rising year-on-year. In 2022, the prices of bulk non-ferrous metal products showed a fluctuating trend, with the average spot prices of copper, aluminum, lead, and zinc being 67470 yuan/ton, 20006 yuan/ton, 15260 yuan/ton, and 25154 yuan/ton, respectively, with year-on-year increases of -1.5%, 5.6%, 0.1%, and 11.4%. The prices of nickel, cobalt, and battery grade lithium carbonate have significantly increased year-on-year, with an average spot price increase of 44.1%, 18.2%, and 301.2% in 2022, respectively.

  3、 Import and export trade maintained rapid growth. In 2022, the total import and export trade of non-ferrous metals reached 327.3 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 20.2%. In terms of imports, the import volume of copper concentrate, unwrought copper, and copper materials increased by 8% and 6.2% year-on-year, respectively. The import volume of bauxite reached 125 million tons, an increase of 16.8% year-on-year. In terms of exports, the quantity and amount of unwrought aluminum and aluminum material exports increased by 17.6% and 33.7% year-on-year, respectively.
